Pettine Realty Co.
Family owned and operated for over 100 years! Our family of Realtor’s, four generation’s strong, have served the Detroit tri-county area since 1915 and is one of Michigan’s oldest family owned real estate firms. The family business was started by Igino Pettine who came to the United States from Italy in 1906 where he lived in Columbus Ohio and worked at a glass manufacturer as a mirror silverier. He relocated to Michigan around 1912, and then, in 1913, he married and opened an Italian grocery store at 643 Russell Street in the Eastern Market area. In 1915, he worked for Frank Miller Real Estate Corp. and he would later open his own office in Detroit at 3176 Gratiot Avenue in 1922. In 1932, he moved his office to 3359 Mack Avenue, and then would later relocate to 6336 Gratiot Avenue, and then to 10052-54 Gratiot Avenue during the early 1940’s.
Igino’s Son, Pascal Pettine or ” Pat ” as his friend’s liked to call him, opened his own office at 9963 Gratiot Avenue in 1945, and would later open his second office at 13428 Gratiot Avenue in 1959. Pat’s son, Ken Pettine, would work with his father for many years untill he opened his own office at 21023 Gratiot Avenue in 1989 in Eastpointe Michigan, where he and his son, Raymond Pettine, are currently operating.
The Pettine family of Realtor’s have a great reputation in the real estate industry and have always provided excellent customer service to residential buyer’s and seller’s, as well as commercial buyer’s and seller’s. Throughout the years as more and more family owned businesses fail to keep their door’s open because the bigger ” chain ” businesses have taken over, the Pettine family of Realtor’s have thrived and are commited to serve the local community with the ” family feel ” and ” personal ” service to our clients!
